Out with the Old School
As former high school teachers ourselves, we were tired of hearing our students make the excuse that they’re “just not good at math.” That lit a fire under us to implement a new school approach to learning; one that centers around the student.
Using the Experience First, Formalize Later (EFFL) model, we were able to better engage the entire classroom. After using this model in our classrooms at the most diverse public high school in Michigan, we knew we couldn't stop there. We wanted to share our lessons with teachers through what has become known as "Math Medic." And now, nine years later, over 100,000 teachers across the U.S. trust us to help them teach their students with our free daily lesson plans.

Energized Classrooms Found Here
The way this approach has changed my teaching style has been a complete game changer. Activities like these where we can bring the content to the students in a tangible way have been reinvigorating
The Math Medic resources are incredibly rich and powerful and steeped in the promotion of conceptual, applied thinking. Without a doubt, Math Medic has made me a better teacher.
This year, we went all in with Math Medic. And, so far, so good! As expected, it’s outside of a lot of comfort zones, but students are definitely thinking, talking, and developing concepts more deeply. So, thank you!
